Discover hotel features

At LUX* Marijani Zanzibar, families are encouraged to enjoy the outdoors from morning to evening. A spacious playground set by the beach and within the gardens offers room for relaxed play, complete with a giant chess board for shared family fun.

Active options are woven into each day, with aqua polo and aqua gym sessions in the pool, alongside beach-based volleyball and football. These activities make the most of the coastal setting while keeping children engaged and moving.

The resort also offers access to spa facilities and private sessions, alongside Swahili language lessons for families interested in connecting with local culture. Evenings bring a gentle sense of celebration, with live bands, dancers and traditional entertainment, including ngoma ngoma, creating a memorable end to the day for all ages.

Grand LUX* Suites

Set directly on the beach and overlooking the blue-green lagoon, the Grand LUX* Suite offers generous space for relaxed family stays. The suite includes a bedroom with a pink-coral outdoor tropical shower, a standalone bathtub and shower, a kitchen that opens onto a living area, and a separate bathroom. Locally designed terrazzo floors reflect the coastal setting throughout. Outdoors, a sunken lounge and private swimming pool sit right on the beach, creating a quiet space for time together. The suite accommodates two adults and one child or one infant, with a total size of 81m².

Beachfront Deluxe Rooms

Located steps from the shore, the Beachfront Deluxe Rooms are finished in soft whites with brass and wood details, inspired by the island’s Arabic heritage. Each room offers either a king-size bed or twin beds, making them suitable for families travelling with children. A spacious bathroom with a rain shower and a private terrace facing the beach complete the setting. These rooms accommodate two adults and one child or one infant, across 44m².

Dining

Dining at LUX* Marijani Zanzibar is designed to suit every member of the family, from morning through to evening.

The Beach Restaurant is set by the shore, close to the pool, and offers relaxed day-to-night dining with plenty of choice. Menus are inspired by fresh Zanzibari produce, with contemporary dishes prepared at interactive live cooking stations. Families are well catered for, with a dedicated corner created especially for Little Travellers, making mealtimes easy and enjoyable for all ages.

For evenings with a different feel, Samāa offers a speciality Levantine dining experience. Set directly on the beach and open to the night sky, the restaurant provides a calm, atmospheric setting that reflects the flavours and traditions of the Levant, ideal for parents seeking a slower, more refined dinner by the sea.
